Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise 10+ years in Java backend development Strong hands-on experience with: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Microservices & distributed systems RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture AWS cloud services (EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway) Experience designing reusable platform services and APIs Domain & Integration Experience Experience in platform/service-layer development for Digital commerce OR enterprise operations platforms Strong understanding of System integration patterns (API orchestration, event streaming) and Data modeling for distributed systems Leadership & Execution Proven experience leading engineering teams or acting as Technical Lead Strong ability to drive cross-team alignment across dependent platform services Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with domain-driven design (DDD) and bounded contexts Exposure to enterprise digital platforms (eCommerce, asset/operations systems) Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS) Familiarity with API gateways, service mesh, and platform governance models Experience with security & compliance frameworks (e.g., app security, API security) Posting Dates: July 2, 2026 - July 12, 2026 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
