This role supports the design, analysis, and administration of compensation and benefits programs across the U.S. workforce, while contributing to coordination of select international programs. You will help ensure programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with business priorities, while delivering a strong employee experience.

Key Responsibilities Compensation Conduct job evaluations, market pricing, and benchmarking Support salary structure maintenance and annual merit review cycles Assist with administration of incentive programs Provide analysis and insights to support pay decisions Benefits Support administration of U.S. benefits programs (health, welfare, retirement, leave) Assist with open enrollment and employee communications Coordinate with brokers, vendors, and administrators Support compliance activities, including ERISA and ACA requirements Total Rewards & Operations Partner with HR and business leaders to provide guidance on compensation and benefits Support reporting, audits, and governance processes Contribute to process improvements and data integrity initiatives Assist with coordination of international benefits programs What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field 4–7+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards Working knowledge of U.S. benefits and compensation practices Familiarity with ERISA, ACA, and compliance requirements Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion What We Offer Competitive salary and annual incentive eligibility Comprehensive health, wellness, and retirement benefits Generous paid time off and leave programs Career development opportunities Inclusive, safety-focused work environment Where you’ll be working Rio Tinto Borates is a global leader in industrial mineral supply and science.
