About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineering Senior Manager . For the development of Loan IQ Integration Services in Commercial Lending area. Manager will be able to build and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable Loan IQ Integration services

In This Role, You Will

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team or teams of experienced engineers and engineering managers in roles with moderate complexity and risk, responsible for building high-quality capabilities with modern technology Ensure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture, and meeting non-functional requirements with each release Partner with, engage and influence architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies, while understanding next generation domain architecture and enable application migration paths to target architecture
  • for example, cloud readiness, application modernization, data strategy Function as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks including code, build and deployment while also managing overall software development cycle and security standards Determine appropriate strategy and actions to act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and the teams to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables and help remove impediments, obstacles, and friction while encouraging constant learning, experimentation, and continual improvement Build engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase, conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and solution alignment to technical direction, and guide design, as needed Interpret, develop and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology with moderate complexity, as well as identify, manage and mitigate technology and enterprise risk Collaborate with, partner with and influence Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, promote innovative and intelligent solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy while being a solid advocate of agile and DevOps practices Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in technology engineering Hire, build and guide a culture of talent development to have the skills required to effectively design and deliver innovative solutions for product areas and products to meet business objectives and strategy, as well as conduct performance management for engineers and managers Required Qualifications: 7+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 3+ years of management or leadership experience Desired Qualifications: We are seeking a Software Engineering Senior Manager with a strong background in building scalable, resilient, and highly available Integration Services for Loan IQ.
  • The candidate should have good experience in developing programs with microservices based enterprise application, event-driven app, and using NoSQL DB - MongoDB.
  • Team member will work with Wells Fargo India and onshore partners and implement the required solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Loan IQ platform vendor (Finastra) and third-party integration partners.
  • Partner with business stakeholders across credit, operations, finance, risk, and compliance to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Manage vendor contracts, SLAs, and escalation paths for integration-related issues.
  • Build systems utilizing Large Language Models (LLM) involving data ingestion pipelines, reliable service orchestration, backend application state management, and data layer implementation.
  • Design, code, test, and document solutions that align with business goals.
  • Lead and consult with key technical experts and technology teams to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
  • Responsible for application development, maintenance, and security requirements Collaborate with US partners in leading complex initiatives requirement understanding and solution discussions.
  • Collaborate with Product Team, Scrum Master, Developers, QA and any other stakeholders as needed.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies in AI to continue to the strategy discussion for future capability development of Loan IQ platform.
  • Job Expectations: Experience in leading enterprise applications development, with strong programming experience on Java / Spring boot, Python, distributed computing and Relational / NoSQL database Lead end-to-end delivery of Loan IQ integration projects: requirements, design, build, test (SIT/UAT/regression)

  • Drive agile delivery cadences (Scrum/SAFe), manage cross-functional dependencies, and proactively resolve impediments.
  • Own the program roadmap for Loan IQ integrations; communicate status, risks, and milestones to senior stakeholders.
  • Define and own the Loan IQ integration architecture, including APIs, middleware, messaging (MQ/Kafka), and batch pipelines connecting to GL, CRM, risk, and reporting systems.
  • Evaluate and select integration patterns (REST, SOAP, FTP/SFTP, event-driven) appropriate for latency, volume, and compliance requirements.
  • Establish integration standards, reusable frameworks, and a center-of-excellence practice across the organization.
  • Implement event-driven architecture and use messaging queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ for asynchronous processing.
  • Experience on Gen AI based development including Agentic AI solutions.
  • Understanding of Cloud principles and experience on developing applications hosted on cloud environment.
  • Experience with OCP (OpenShift Container Platform) and Citrix migration is preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Harness, Artifactory, Sonar, open shift/Kubernetes, Docker etc.
  • Experience on agile software development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of high availability, scalability, and resilience in Loan IQ platform.
  • Ensure efficient multithreading and concurrency in backend processes.
  • Non-Technical: Capable of leading career conversations, talent management, reasoning and thinking through problems and developing desired solutions, independently or with others as required.
  • Capable of mentoring team members on solution design and implementation Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Good written and verbal communication Ability to understand team dynamics and use interpersonal skills and personal judgment to achieve goals.
