The Commercial Product Infra Margins (CPIM)Teams an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s AI and Cloud strategy. The Senior Finance Director, AI & Cloud Margins - CPIM team will own the product margins for a portfolio of cloud and AI products.
It will require building and leading a strong team to deliver on the demand, product offerings, unit costing, efficiencies and margins. You will partner closely with finance teams supporting Revenue, Marketing, CO+I, AHSI, Enginering, Demand/Capacity Planning and Product margins.
This role will lead financial planning process and monthly/quarterly ROB for entire Capex spend, partner on Cost insights and support deliverables for BOD and CFO rhythm Responsibilities Own end to end view of gross margins, including planning, quarterly reporting of actuals and variance analysis.
Monitor trends and proactively identify risks and opportunities to ensure financial targets are met. Deliver driver-based analytics and frame on composition of spend and work with various team to automate reporting and planning modules Partner with engineering teams and benchmarks to define the north star margins for the portfolio of products, identify levers to attain, and drive funding and accountability.
Lead compete analytics including recent earnings announcements Lead demand planning for the owned workloads, across AI and cloud Support various ad hoc analytical and reporting asks to support teams’ mission Influence and support senior executives on agile decision making.
Mentor finance team members and foster an inclusive culture with analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and business partnership. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 10+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience. 1+ year(s) experience managing direct reports.
Financial Analysis M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
