Title and Summary Manager, Accounting Overview Mastercard powers economies and empowers people in 200+ countries and territories worldwide.   • Manages delivery of internal and external financials for or on behalf of group/business unit and works to ensure the integrity and completeness of all financial deliverables
  • Manage financial reporting obligations for a large consolidated group in ANZ and other stand alone APAC entities
  • Evaluates financial and/or operational metrics and performances, summarizes findings and makes preliminary recommendations to leadership
  • Serves as a point of escalation for accounting treatment, audit governance and compliance
  • Implements initiatives for better efficiency and productivity
  • Owns business partner relationship and applies a client-service mentality towards managing and executing close processes (i.e., monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Supervises a small team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, mentors and coaches top talent within own team All About You
  • Relevant qualifications with a degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or related field – CPA or CA
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations.
  • US GAAP, IFRS and local AASB standards knowledge essential
  • Direct and indirect tax compliance knowledge, transfer pricing experience highly regarded
  • Experience with group consolidations and tax compliance
  • Proven commitment and ownership of areas of responsibility
  • Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
