Associate Director, Regulatory Innovation
Job Description Summary The Associate Director, Regulatory Innovation & Technology is responsible for driving innovation, process transformation, and technology enablement across Global Regulatory Affairs. This role partners with business leaders, technology teams, and strategic stakeholders to identify opportunities for operational improvement, define technology roadmaps, and lead the implementation of innovative solutions that enhance service delivery, quality, and efficiency.
A key responsibility is leading Regulatory Innovation Council activities, facilitating the evaluation, prioritization, and execution of innovation initiatives aligned with business strategy. The role serves as a bridge between business needs and technology capabilities, ensuring successful adoption of new processes, digital solutions, automation, and AI-enabled technologies.
Key Responsibilities Lead Regulatory Innovation Council activities, including intake, evaluation, prioritization, and governance of innovation initiatives. Drive business transformation through Lean process improvement, change management, and technology adoption activities.
Develop and manage innovation and technology roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives. Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and strategic partners to define solution requirements and delivery plans. Oversee complex innovation and technology programs, including scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, success metrics, and stakeholder communications.
Identify opportunities for automation, analytics, AI, and digital solutions that improve operational efficiency and service delivery. Support technology design, development, pilot programs, and implementation of next-generation regulatory solutions.
Monitor industry, regulatory, and technology trends and translate insights into actionable business opportunities. Build stakeholder engagement, secure sponsorship, and drive organizational readiness for change. Mentor team members and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, business transformation, technology enablement, product management, program management, or related fields. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving process improvement, technology implementation, or organizational change.
Strong understanding of Lean methodologies, change management principles, and project/program governance. Familiarity with AI, automation, analytics, and digital technologies within a professional services or life sciences environment. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and leadership skills.
