Roles and Responsibilities As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and driving the end-to-end software validation strategy for next-generation Physical AI compute platforms.
You will own the design and implementation of scalable test infrastructures, robust automation frameworks, and modern quality assurance practices that ensure delivery of high-performance, reliable software solutions. In this role, you will work closely with developers, architects, technology managers, and cross-functional teams to understand system-level firmware and software requirements, develop comprehensive test strategies, and build automated validation solutions across end-to-end software stack.
You will also drive the bring-up and integration of industry-standard open-source frameworks and tools, establish efficient test environments, and continuously improve software quality, performance, and development efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to influence platform-level engineering decisions, tackle sophisticated technical challenges, and contribute to cutting-edge innovations in Physical AI systems.
In addition to technical leadership, you will mentor and guide a distributed software engineering team, fostering a strong culture of collaboration, innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 16+ years of experience in software development, end to end verification and validation of system firmware across semiconductor development life cycle.
Deep understanding of low-level system BSP firmware like TF-A, TF-M, SCP, OP-TEE, Xen, Zephyr etc. Good in programming embedded C/C++, Python, Bash/Shell scripting, and familiar with Git, Pytest, ROS2, GitLab/GitHub, and Virtualization software Hands-on experience of defining test strategies, test methods, test metrics, productization of firmware etc.
Leading and driving team to achieve excellent result! Good interpersonal and communication skills, excellent written and spoken English, and the ability to write coherent documentation, influence, and build consensus Desirable Skills & Qualities Strong debugging skills, capable of navigating complex software stacks and delivering effective solutions Experience in qualifying automotive/robotics workloads, use cases, AI / ML software stacks, and tooling Experience with automotive/robotics software safety/security qualification is an added advantage!
