- Designs/develops software solutions requiring general domain knowledge and developing business experience.
- Works at all layers of the application stack including front-end user interface and backend development.
- Analyzes user requirements/needs and makes decisions within limited parameters under regular supervision.
- Supports and may lead projects within own organization with limited complexity, including the development of small to medium size system components.
- Has broad understanding of quality standards and work requires minimal revision.
- Reviews functional specifications and other validation deliverables as assigned.
- Provides peer support and helps on-board new Associate Software Engineers to the team.
- Should have good understanding of software engineering principles
- Should be well versed in Big Data Technologies like spark, scala , airflow , python (good to have),
- Should have good understanding of CICD principles
- Should have have used tools like gitlab, Jenkins
- Manages multiple teams of professional-level employees and/or managers and ensures that a consistent design, deployment, and maintenance process is followed for all sites and systems.
- Develops and communicates objectives and priorities to meet the organization's plan and results requirements.
- Establishes organization-wide budgets, policies and practices with significant impact on area operations.
- Influences decision-making at the management and executive level.
- Provides coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports; models and provides leadership examples for organization. Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience Req
- Experienced in migrating legacy databases to new environments like snowflake and databricks and identifying opportunities to leverage the newer features is good to have
- Has led small development teams (3-6 developers) for Big Data solutions driving both excellence in delivery and mentorship of the team
