Job Description
Within the department of Discovery, Manufacturing and Safety Statistics (DMS) at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic biostatistician with a broad knowledge of statistical modelling to strengthen our statistical team supporting drug discovery in the neuroscience therapeutic area.
The successful candidate will support the design and analysis of in-vivo and in-vitro studies, bio-analytical validation experiments, translational biomarker studies, and contribute to making informed decisions in drug discovery through applying analytical mindset, analysis skills, experimental design suggestions and through appropriate reporting and communication of evidence.
The candidate will collaborate within cross-functional teams as well as with external contractors. Participation in scientific activities in the local professional community is expected. Requirements: · Work closely with researchers on experimental design, data analysis, interpretation, and clear communication of evidence to support research, development, and product commercialization. · Ensure the appropriate application of high-quality statistical methodologies tailored to each research need. · Serve as a co-author on scientific publications and present research findings at external venues. · Build and maintain trusted relationships with colleagues and stakeholders through clear, reliable statistical guidance. · Support internal statistical trainings and contribute to the development and dissemination of best practices and reproducible workflows.
Qualifications: · PhD in Statistics or related field with minimum 0-2 years relevant experience, or Master’s in Statistics or related field with commensurate years of relevant experience. · Excellent analytical skills · Excellent written and oral communication skills · Fluency in English · Proficiency in R programming · Knowledge of experimental design, (non)-linear mixed effect models, multivariate analyses, predictive modelling and expertise in modern visualization methods · Eagerness to continuously learn about the relevant underlying science and to expand statistical and computing expertise. · Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment Required Skills: Preferred Skills: Advanced Analytics, Biostatistics, Clinical Trials, Collaboration, Consulting, Critical Thinking, Data Privacy Standards, Data Quality, Data Savvy, Digital Fluency, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Quality Assurance (QA), Report Writing, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) Programming, Statistics, Systems Development, Technologically Savvy The anticipated base pay range for this position is: €72,500.00 - €115,230.00 Benefits: In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
