- An Automotive Functional Safety Expert leads ISO 26262 compliance, developing safety concepts (HARA, FSR, TSR), conducting FTA/FMEA analyses
- managing safety cases for electronic systems. They interface with customers/OEMs to define safety requirements, perform audits
- guide engineering teams, ensuring systems fail safely. Key Responsibilities ISO 26262 Compliance: Lead the full functional safety lifecycle, including hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA), functional safety concepts (FSC)
- technical safety concepts (TSC).Safety Analysis: Perform and review safety analyses such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA/DFMEA/FMEDA) to ensure system reliability.Safety Documentation & Case: Create and maintain safety plans, Safety Case reports
- Development Interface Agreements (DIAs) with suppliers.Verification & Validation: Execute or support safety assessments, audits
