Director Creative Production
The pay range is $135,000.00 - $243,000.00 Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. As a Director, Creative Production, you'll be a driving force in Target Creative by establishing the vision and strategy for Creative Production while leading leaders and teams responsible for bringing Target's creative vision to life across integrated marketing work.
You'll foster an inclusive, high-performing culture while driving operational excellence, innovation, and exceptional creative outcomes. Working closely with fellow Directors, Sr. Directors, and enterprise leaders, you'll shape production strategies that position the organization to meet evolving creative, marketing, and business needs.
You'll strategically evolve Creative Production capabilities by building scalable operating models, advancing production standards and best practices, and cultivating a best-in-class network of external creative production partners. Through strong partnerships with agencies, production companies, creators, technology partners, and production service providers, you'll expand what's possible creatively while delivering quality, efficiency, and value.
You'll leverage your industry expertise to identify innovative production opportunities and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools and workflows, ensuring Creative Production continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of the business.
Depending on business needs, this role may lead one or more Creative Production functions: Creative Producing Establish the vision, strategy, and operating model for integrated creative production across all channels and mediums. Lead production capabilities, external production partnerships, and innovative production solutions that enable exceptional creative execution from concept through final delivery.
Product Producing Establish the strategy and operating model for Product Producing, ensuring product readiness, sample lifecycle management, inventory optimization, and cross-channel product governance that enable efficient creative production and an exceptional guest experience.
Build organizational capabilities and operational processes that strengthen partnerships across Creative, Merchandising, Marketing, and enterprise teams while continuously evolving product production practices. Content Studio Establish the vision and long-term strategy for the Content Studio, including studio operations, photographers, logistics, workshop operations, production technology, facilities, equipment, and production support services.
Drive operational excellence by evolving studio capabilities, production infrastructure, and technology investments that enable safe, efficient, scalable, and future-ready creative production. Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description.
Job duties may change at any time due to business needs. About you Four-year degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of professional experience leading creative production, content production, product production, studio operations, or related creative disciplines Demonstrated success leading leaders and building high-performing organizations through coaching, talent development, organizational design, and change leadership Proven experience establishing production strategy, operating models, and organizational capabilities across complex creative organizations Expert knowledge of integrated production, production planning, budgeting, contracts, licensing, usage rights, vendor management, and production operations Proven success building strategic relationships with internal partners and external agencies, production companies, creators, technology partners, and other creative production partners Strong business, financial, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to drive enterprise decisions and build trusted partnerships across all levels of the organization Deep knowledge of industry trends, emerging production technologies, AI-enabled creative workflows, and evolving production practices, with a demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement Flexible to travel, including weekends, as business needs require This role requires you to regularly report and perform job duties onsite at our Winter Street Studio location in Minneapolis.
