Senior Associate - Agentic AI Engineer About the Role We are looking for motivated and analytical early-career professionals to join our GenAI Center of Excellence at State Street as Agentic AI Engineers. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about building agentic AI systems and workflows.
You will work closely with Senior AI Engineers to develop, integrate, and support multi-agent workflows and event-driven architectures, contributing directly to the evolution of our agentic AI platform. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with senior engineers to design and build agent workflows and platform components.
Developed basic agent workflows utilizing at least one agent framework (such as LangChain, Langraph, GoogleADK). Assist in building event-driven processes for scalable agentic AI systems. Exposure to the agentic stack leveraging managed services and orchestration tools on AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
Write, execute, and maintain unit and integration tests for code quality and reliability. Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of agentic services in cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and/or on-prem environments. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other team ceremonies to foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the pod. Stay current with new technologies and methods in AI and distributed systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 0–7 years of overall experience in software engineering, with 2+ years of exposure in developing AI/ML, distributed systems, or agent-based architectures.
Proficient in Python and familiar with at least one additional modern programming language (such as Java, Go, or C++). Familiarity with event-driven architectures, REST/gRPC APIs, and microservices. Experience developing, testing, and troubleshooting applications in cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
Understanding of basic DevOps practices, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). Strong problem-solving and communication skills; collaborative team player. Eagerness to learn and stay current with emerging technologies in AI and cloud platforms.
Coursework or projects involving multi-agent systems.
