Conducts, collects and provides research as part of a team that delivers information and consulting services to clients, leading data investigation during the course of research projects. Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities: - Participates in design and development of quantitative and data-driven models as needed - Actively communicates within their team, as well as with peers across the organization - Reviews literature, accesses publicly available coding systems, and uses LSEG tools to support research projects - Prepares client deliverables, within designated budget and timeframe, including interpretation of results, reports, technical memoranda, posters, presentations, and manuscripts.
Qualifications & Experience: - Degree or equivalent - Previous experience in a research related role - For some roles: Postgraduate / Ph.D. in a quantitative field or equivalent. The role will involve data collection and manipulation, quantitative and qualitative analysis.
The candidate will be responsible to develop and maintain models of trade flows, oil production, supply and demand balances and refining. The role is based in Mumbai, India and will focus on covering the Europe, Middle East and Asia region.
The candidate will also be expected to develop excel and Power BI models along with power point documents based on our research and datasets. The candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills and have prior experience in commodities and energy markets.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, but, given the nature of the role, should be also capable of working independently and with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining and develop market models Improve content and design of our Workspace-based analytical tools, charts
- tables Communicate market insight in reports and presentations Makes recommendations that may shape operational strategy.
- Determines the nature of complex or undefined problems; independently identifies the best solution from many alternatives.
- Escalates higher risk or more unique problems.
- Decisions require interpretive thinking and some judgment in developing solutions Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree holder from a reputable university.
- A masters or technical specialization / certification would be an advantage.
- Prior research experience in the oil/shipping space Able to independently manage projects aimed at improving Workspace content that will drive customer usage of our desktop product and data sales Excellent written and verbal communication skills
