- Amazon Leo is building the world's most advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the globe. As part of this mission, we are seeking a Senior Product Manager – Technical (PMT) to define product requirements, lead feature alignment and drive roadmap planning with NTN RF/Modem Chipset and IoT module vendors globally. You will bridge the gap between engineering teams across satellite RAN, Core
- industry-leading 5G NTN modems to ensure we seamlessly connect people and devices anywhere on Earth. This role requires deep technical mastery of 3GPP control and user plane protocols, extensive experience with chipset interoperability development testing (IODT)
- the ability to translate customer experiences and user stories into detailed product requirements. The Senior Product Manager - Technical (PMT) will be at the forefront of defining NTN device requirements and building 0-to-1 satellite systems for consumer, business
- government customers globally. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder)

- Drive User-Equipment (UE) feature alignment with NTN chipset vendors to ensure interoperability with Amazon Leo RAN, Core, Transport
- cloud infrastructure, including standards-compliant connectivity and roaming services between satellite and terrestrial networks.
- Own the NTN Device chipset product roadmap and IODT execution plan, driving delivery across multiple workstreams with high standards and operational excellence.
- Work closely with Amazon Leo engineering teams, Payload Integration Test (PIT) and telco MNO/Device/Chipset partners to define, build and test 3GPP-compliant protocol layers, ensuring deterministic behavior, low latency
- high reliability for satellite-based connectivity and TN-NTN mobility. Lead by example with systems thinking to solve problems.
- Stay current with 3GPP releases, industry trends, and evolving NTN deployment models to guide long-term product strategy aligned to Amazon Leo’s roadmap.
- Write and present technical documents (6-pagers, PR/FAQs, BRDs, PRDs) to senior leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering hardware, software, systems, operations, and program management teams across Amazon Leo.
- Be structured and flexible at the same time to learn as the business evolves.
- Provide visibility and communicate extremely well, with responsibility to provide updates to VPs, author operation plans, business review documents, and communicate to the broader Amazon Leo team.
- Be a seasoned product leader with a demonstrated history of leading product strategy, technology solutions, data analytics, and customer experience.
- Thrive on ambiguity and have a track record of delivering large-scale technology products and/or led large operational or technical teams.
- Lead large, global, and complex technology initiatives in a large business unit, working cross-functionally with several business and technical teams.
- The ability to think and move quickly and is inspired to build mechanisms to simplify and continuously innovate.
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
- Operate with a bias for action while maintaining the highest bar for quality and safety in satellite communications systems.

About the team You will be joining a team focused on defining and driving the product requirements for the Amazon Leo Direct-to-Device (D2D) satellite system.
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product - Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests
- ensure all committed work is delivered on time - Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of wireless communications systems and implementation experience - 5+ years of solving problems with technology in the Telecommunications industry experience - 3+ years of wireless communications systems and implementation experience
- Experience working directly with engineering teams - Experience in project or program management - Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders - Experience in Space Vehicle/Satellite Operations, Space Communications or related industry - In-depth knowledge and working experience with 5G device OS/networking software stack, troubleshooting, voice, emergency services and call flows including related protocols for cell acquisition, RACH, registration, mobility, and data session establishment.
