A major focus of the PRISM program is to identify, prioritize and implement Cost Improvement Project (CIP) opportunities. Our team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists are at the forefront of technology in the medical device industry.
As a key member of our group, you will be making vital contributions to the Endo-mechanical & Energy (EM&E) Supply Chain pipeline by improving cost, driving value in our devices, and improving patient care through innovation. You will work with various internal teams and external suppliers to develop robust metal and plastic part designs, electronic subassembly designs, tooling and manufacturing processes that meet or exceed all product requirements at the lowest possible manufacturing cost.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with external suppliers and internal partners to develop medical device components Plan, develop, qualify
- stabilize component development process solutions for Prism projects Influence the product design by providing component and subassembly DFM and COGS feedback Identify, evaluate
- develop potential new suppliers Review supplier tooling designs and qualification plans Mentor staff on component development Review testing, verification
- validation activities to ensure conformance to product and customer specifications.
- Deliver technical reports, technical memoranda, and other documents for internal and external distribution.
- Review and approve component data packages Act as SME across other Project portfolios in Supply Chain Own strategy, mentoring and tech development roadmaps for engineers Qualifications Education: A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree Required: A minimum of 6 years manufacturing process development experience, with a focus on plastic injection mold tooling, metal component development, and/or electronic subassembly (e.g.
- PCBA) components development through process qualification Possess hands-on knowledge tooling design, fabrication and assembly techniques Experience in Design for Manufacturing or Assembly (DFM/A) for plastic injection molding, metal machining, metal forming, metal injection molding Detailed knowledge of fundamentals to assess supplier tooling development and reports .
- Experience working closely with external or third-party supplier.
- Application of GD&T and statistical analysis Demonstrated problem solving skills Able to work in a team based, collaborative environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong collaborator who excels at developing trusted partnerships to influence stakeholders, enhance teamwork
