Join us! The Team: The role sits primarily within the Fixed Income Sales and Trading Legal team and is based in London. The team works closely with colleagues in CLOs, Mortgages and Credit Asset Financing globally on BAU issues, as well as large-scale global projects.
Cumulatively the team has a vast amount of experience and are well placed to provide ongoing support and training and the role also offers opportunity to participate in several industry projects and initiatives. The same applies to the portion of the role that supports the Equities businesses.

Responsibilities
- Primary/majority responsibility is to provide legal support for CLO public issuances and warehouse transactions, including review and negotiation of engagement letters and transaction documents.
- Advise on a broad range of European credit asset financing transactions, including complex financing structures and EU/UK legal aspects of cross-border deals.
- Manage and coordinate external counsel, including review of legal opinions, memoranda and transaction-related advice.
- Participate in transaction due diligence processes, identify legal and regulatory risks, and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Support strategic regulatory reform initiatives affecting securitisation, CLO and lending products working closely with Compliance, Regulatory Reform, Tax, Operations and global legal teams.
- Secondary/minority responsibility is to provide legal support to the Equities business across a range of products (e.g., equity derivatives and securities financing) and other initiatives [note: no Equities experience is required] What we are looking for: Attorney must be licensed to practice in the appropriate jurisdiction(s).
- Should have experience in advising on CLOs, lending and related regulations.
- An excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting is a key requirement.
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, and to adapt to a variety of audiences.
- Strong experience at major law firm, bank, or similar institutional experience.
- Candidate should be a self-starter, quick learner and must be able to work independently and proactively.
- Candidate should be someone who can handle multiple complex assignments and navigate a large institution.
- Experience in Equities is not required
