  • Materials & Distribution Associate Description - Job Summary
  • This role is responsible for a wide range of inventory control tasks, including shipping, receiving, maintaining materials and supplies, supporting complex transactional processes independently, providing specialized reports
  • expediting non-standard shipments. The role leads analytical and design activities for inventory and materials improvements, monitors supplier performance
  • identifies and resolves complex process anomalies. The role facilitates communication between functional teams, monitors task execution by lower-level employees
  • offers troubleshooting and problem-solving support. Responsibilities
  • Performs varied and general tasks involved in controlling inventory, shipping, receiving, storing and distributing materials, parts, supplies
  • equipment (e.g. movement of materials through the use of pallet jacks, daily collection of appropriate statistics, routine maintenance, etc.).
  • Supports complex-level transactional processes for specialized job assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Serves as a primary data resource for exempt-level employees by delivering specialized reports, typically in a consultative manner.
  • Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods, especially for inventory reductions and strategic materials improvements.
  • Monitors supplier performance and keeps affected personnel informed of existing or potential problems.
  • Identifies complex level functional process anomalies and leads the process-oriented tasks to resolve the issues.
  • Monitors the execution of process-oriented tasks of other individual contributors in lower level roles.
  • Provides troubleshooting and problem-solving support of basic- to complex level problems related to function.
  • Provides training and mentorship support to lower-level employees, and contributes to their growth in the organization. Education & Experience Recommended
  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 6-8 years of related work experience, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or a related field. Knowledge & Skills
