Job Description Focus of the role This role will be focused on strengthening leadership effectiveness across the Group Executive (GE) & senior leadership teams (SLT), building a strong pipeline of Executive and Band 1 talent, and enabling commercially sound organisational change.

Partnering closely with senior leaders across Telstra Consumer, the role will support leadership capability, succession planning and sustainable organisation design to ensure teams are well-positioned to deliver against business priorities.

This role will sit within our Workforce Experience & Culture team within People , Culture & Communications . We cultivate a remarkable workforce experience and vibrant culture for our people . Telstra Consumer support s millions of Australians to stay connected through mobile, broadband, digital and in-store experiences.

The team plays a critical role in delivering Telstra’s products and services to households and individuals across the country, with a strong focus on customer experience, commercial performance and helping people connect to the technology they rely on every day.

What you'll do In this role, you will ensure Telstra Consumer leaders and teams are set up and supported to deliver with the right organisational structures, capability, and partnering in place. You’ll act as a partner to key executives across and offer coaching and leadership, while challenging the status quo .

Areas of responsibility will be: Talent /Succession Driv ing Senior Leadership and Executive Talent Succession planning and talent review s to nurture careers and mitigate risks. Steering awareness and adoption of internal talent systems . Pr ovid ing strategic input to functional workforce plans – desired shifts, and capability needs now and future .

Leadership Partner ing with and coach ing GE and SLTs to enhance team and leadership effectiveness. Driv ing awareness and use of the right existing Leadership programs at the right time to solve clearly defined business problem statements and success measures .

Lead ing the discovery of the initial problem statement for a Leadership requirement that is not met by existing Leadership products and services. Partner ing with GE and Exec utive Talent team s to attract and retain the right talent to lead, inspire and engage our people and grow the business.

Org anisational Design/Projects Pla n n ing, prioritis ing and provid ing strategic advice on org design to deliver on functional priorities. D riv ing sustainable org design and M&A projects aligned to Telstra’s design principles and planning teams to provide a consistent employee experience and achieve prioritised outcomes.

Learning Driv ing awareness and use of the right existing Learning programs at the right time to solve clearly defined business problem statements and success measures. Lead ing analysis and discovery of the initial problem statement for a Learning requirement that is not met by existing Learning products/services.

Culture Driv ing embedding of Behaviours and Habits into ways of working and practices, identifying necessary adjustments to align work systems with desired cultural shifts and collaborating with Senior leaders and our Workplaces & Tech team to align on effective change strategies.

Champion ing and integrat ing DEI initiatives into Functional strategies, operations and decision making . Engagement Using data driven insights, collaborat ing with GE/ S LT and Corporate Comms Lead to develop and execute measurable Function specific People Plans that are aligned and integral to the business strategy .

This role will suit someone who is progressive in their thinking, confident working through ambiguity, and able to bring People Partners together as a connected and credible face of PC&C. To be successful in this role, you’ll have: Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and consultative skills, with the ability to influence, guide and challenge executive-level stakeholders who are overseeing a large workforce.

Strong commercial judgement, using data, insights and business context to shape practical people solutions. Natural curiosity and a proactive approach to understanding the business, its people priorities and emerging opportunities. Progressive mindset, including openness to AI, digital ways of working and the shifts these create for people, leaders and organisations.

Strong core HR knowledge within employee relations, recruitment processes, redundancy policies/processes, talent principles and management, remuneration principles/frameworks E xperience supporting leadership effectiveness, organisation design, talent planning, culture and change.

Strong team leadership capability, with the ability to inspire, align and hold People Partners together around shared priorities. An ability to represent PC&C credibly with senior leaders, balancing strategic advice with hands-on delivery. Interested?
