You will architect, design and implement software that controls the movement of hundreds of thousands of robotic drives within Amazon's Robotics fulfillment network. Key job responsibilities * Architect, design

About the team As a Robotic Movement software engineer, you design and deliver cloud-based, high-performance software that controls Amazon's world-wide fleet of mobile robots. The service-based software architecture is mainly written in Java and built using AWS products. Our team balances building new services to meet the needs of our growing customer base and extending existing services by developing new algorithms or by optimizing application performance.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - 4+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team - Experience working in a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality design solutions - Strong background or familiarity with algorithms and system design used to solve complex problems for highly-scalable systems
