  • Commissioning to build Data Centers that directly support our Customers. As our Data Center Project Engineer, you will support the teams that build some of the most interesting electrical and mechanical systems in the world. You will be on the construction site, daily interacting with the construction managers and stakeholders and be directly responsible for supporting the fast, high-quality delivery of our data center construction. The Data Center Project Engineer will be part of the onsite Construction Management team and will own the communication coordination with our vendors, information workflow
  • coordination of document management including requests for information (RFI), change orders, report

Key job responsibilities The Data Center Project Engineer will be responsible for: - Establishing communication and coordination across a data center region’s general contractors, stakeholders
  • internal teams. Example includes sending out region wide changes to construction trailer setup
  • location to access documents. - Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFI’s (requests for information)
  • change orders and dashboard and track this information for regional leadership review. Include tracking status of priority and due dates. - Requesting and reviewing MOPs (Method of Procedure) for proper detail, necessity
  • risk. - On-boarding new vendors for badging and orientation. - Updating project management software with milestone dates, correspondence
  • documents. - Monitor delivery of owner furnished material to site. - Compiling and storing construction data from vendors. - Managing checklist including various checklists including substantial completion checks, safety
  • quality. A day in the life Your morning starts on-site — checking OFCI delivery status, reviewing open submittals
  • walking the building with your Construction Manager and general contractor. You'll coordinate with commissioning, design, procurement
  • security teams to keep your workstreams moving. Afternoons might include updating punchlist trackers, preparing documentation packages for upcoming milestones
  • onboarding new vendors. Every day is different — some days you're in the field resolving a staging conflict, other days you're driving a submittal to approval before it holds up schedule. You'll see the direct impact of your work as buildings come online. About the team The AMER Northeast Construction team delivers large-scale data center builds across the eastern United States. As a Project Engineer, you'll support construction delivery on a multi-building campus — coordinating equipment deliveries, managing submittals and documentation
  • working alongside Construction Managers, general contractors
  • cross-functional partners (commissioning, design, procurement, security) to bring buildings online safely and on schedule. We value ownership, attention to detail

  • Bachelor's degree in enginnering or equivalent - 3+ years of construction or project management experience - 2+ years of vendor management experience - Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word
  • Excel - Experience creating process documentation - Experience in construction
  • experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience in a data center or other critical environment - Experience managing large-scale projects from end to end - OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training - Experience with Procore, PlanGrid
