- Amazon is seeking a motivated, customer-obsessed Team Lead to join our Middle Mile Sort Center operations. As a Team Lead, you are the frontline leader responsible for managing a team of 30–80+ associates during your assigned shift. You will own the safe, efficient
- high-quality execution of sortation operations — from inbound dock management through sortation to outbound dispatch — while developing your team and driving continuous improvement. This is a hands-on, floor-based leadership role. You will spend the majority of your shift on the operations floor, directly engaging with associates, monitoring performance, resolving issues in real time
- ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Key Responsibilities. 1. Pre-Shift Planning — Review staffing, attend leadership meeting, complete area readiness checks
- review plan for volume/CPT/bagging plan. 2. Start of Shift — Deliver SOS brief, verify headcount and FCLM/CALM logins within 7 min, ensure associates scanning within 5 min. 3. Shift Operations — Drive TPH across IB/Sort/OB, manage CPT priorities, track quality (FL, RL - NC/NNC, BM, MD and VPM DPMO, scan compliance), monitor TOT hourly, manage labor movements
- handle exceptions. 4. Safety — Conduct audits, enforce PPE/ergonomic standards, drive RIR/LTIR improvement, lead incident response and yard safety. 5. People Leadership — Floor engagement, real-time coaching and feedback to the AA 6. End of Shift & CI — Verify volume handoff, complete area readiness/5S, document shift handover, participate in Kaizens
- drive defect reduction. Preferred Qualification: 1. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) 2. 1+ years of customer-facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing experience 3. Speak, write
