Our AWS procurement team is looking for a results-oriented individual to assume responsibility for sourcing electrical distribution capital equipment related to our growing Infrastructure. Our Global Category Managers are responsible for developing sourcing strategies and clear action plans toward achieving the lowest total cost of ownership fueling the exponential growth across our Data Centers as we meet and exceed customer demand. In this role you will lead internal engagements across supply chain, engineering and business organizations while diving deep into the technologies and operations both from a product and supply chain perspective. You will analyze trends involving the industry players – vendors, customers
  • technology to develop strategies to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply
  • utilize emerging opportunities allowing AWS to meet and exceed its goals. Key job responsibilities Develop negotiation strategies to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with strategic suppliers pertaining to electrical distribution equipment for data centers or other mission critical facilities.   • 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience - 6+ years of professional or military experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level - Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences - Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences - Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives that may be cross-functional and/or span business and technology - 6+ years of experience driving C-level supplier engagements to influence strategic investments and product roadmaps. - 6+ years of relevant strategic sourcing and category management experience in capital equipment
