  • Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Mechatronics Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of Mechatronics Engineers and Mechanical Engineers dedicated to designing, developing, and testing actuation solutions and next-generation robotic systems. In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of actuation and robotic hardware development—guiding your team as they create detailed design specifications and models, conduct simulations, and rigorously test and validate systems from concept through production readiness and scaled deployment. A critical part of your responsibility will be partnering closely with controls, electrical, and software engineering teams to deliver fully integrated actuation and robotic solutions that meet the demands of Amazon's robotics platforms operating at unprecedented scale across hundreds of fulfillment sites worldwide. Key job responsibilities Team Leadership & People Development - Recruiting, developing, and retaining great people across mechanical and mechatronics engineering disciplines

  • Experience in DFx (cost, test, manufacturing) - Experience with the project management of technical projects - Bachelor's degree in robotics, mechanical/mechatronics engineering, systems engineering or related field - 10 years or more of experience in mechanical design with at least 3+ years of management experience - Experience in the design of rotary actuation and related components (BLDC motors, bearings, grease, gears, etc) - Familiar with industry standard CAD & FEA design tools and industry trends - Ability to manage process driven development mentality while also balancing time to market - Commitment to rigorous testing & validation practices - Strong organizational and planning skills - Desire to work in a fast-paced environment - Excellent written (white papers) and oral communication skills - Experience in engineering team management across mechanical and/or mechatronics disciplines - Extensive system design experience interfacing with a wide array of electromechanical subsystems and associated debugging experience - SolidWorks or similar CAD experience, understanding of best practices for part design, advanced assemblies
