As the Director of Communications at Vanta you’ll be part of a growing Communications & Content team responsible for telling Vanta’s company story across external and internal audiences,including media, influencers and 3rd party validators, customers, prospects and partners.
The Director of Communications will lead and drive our integrated communications program, increasing awareness of Vanta and our market leadership across external and internal audiences. This role is a critical member of our team focused on amplifying Vanta’s brand and market vision, driving both enterprise and start-up credibility and illustrating the value we deliver for global customers across traditional and new media audiences.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on communications pro with a passion for crafting compelling corporate narratives, developing close relationships with key industry influencers, and working across teams to drive results. We're looking for a critical thinker with strong writing and communication skills, deep AI/B2B/SaaS/Security product knowledge, a wide network of relationships across traditional and new media, excitement to experiment with AI and a passion for pioneering the future of trust.
What you’ll do as a Director of Communications at Vanta: Drive the execution of our external communications strategy in partnership with internal stakeholders including product and growth marketing, content, analyst relations and leadership teams.
Work closely with external PR agency partners to craft and execute our communications strategy focusing on global top-tier business, tech, and security media across traditional and new (media (Substack, podcasts, influencers). Grow and diversify our thought-leadership around topics of AI, security, trust in an agentic world, and the future of automation and uncover new channels to increase Vanta brand awareness.
Integrate our first party data storytelling program (Trust Signals) into executive thought leadership, external messaging, and earned media coverage. Partner cross functionally on external events and brand marketing opportunities to amplify Vanta’s leadership in Agentic Trust Develop and execute internal communications moments including monthly All Hands; internal newsletter for cross-company alignment; and more.
Partner with Operations, Marketing and Leadership teams on a variety of operational efficiency initiatives aimed at improving how we work and communicate as a fast-growing global organization. Use AI with strong judgment and taste to scale our efforts and increase impact.
How to be successful in this role: 10-12+ years of experience in Communications either in-house, agency or a combination of both You have deep new and traditional media relationships, strong writing skills, a finger on the pulse of AI/B2B/Security trends, and excitement to experiment with AI.
You’re an all-around Comms rockstar with a passion for both external and internal communications initiatives. You're a self-starter who loves working across different teams in the company to drive alignment and clarity. Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
