About The Role
Role Purpose The role is responsible for driving a strong safety-first culture at the Goa manufacturing unit and ensuring full statutory compliance across process safety, occupational health, fire and emergency management. The role is accountable for eliminating injuries and process safety incidents on site.
Reporting : Unit Head Key Responsibilities Drive process safety — HAZOP, HIRA, JSA for high-risk activities (tank farm, hot work, confined space) Lead fire safety and emergency preparedness for flammable spirit handling; run mock drills Own OH&S related statutory compliances for the Unit Investigate incidents/near-misses, drive root cause analysis and CAPA closure Manage contractor safety — induction, permit-to-work, PPE compliance, audits Conduct EHS audits/gemba walks; maintain ISO 45001 compliance Run behaviour-based safety programs and training calendars Own EHS KPI reporting (LTIFR, TRIR, near-miss rate) for Unit leadership Own ETP/effluent performance and spent-wash management within PCB limits Manage hazardous/solid waste disposal per statutory norms Maintain environmental clearances (CTE/CTO) and lead GSPCB liaison Implement ISO 14001 and support site sustainability reporting Requirements B.E./B.Tech (Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial) with PG Diploma in Industrial Safety 6–10 years in EHS within process/manufacturing (alcobev, brewery, distillery or FMCG preferred) Strong knowledge of Factories Act, PESO, GSPCB norms, HAZOP/HIRA, ISO 45001/14001 Comfortable operating independently as an IC, with strong shop-floor influencing skills Diversity statement: Our purpose is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere.
