Financial Officers support the development and execution of financial objectives related to revenues, expenses, capital, and risk for their respective areas. This includes partnering across other functions and Finance disciplines. Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams are Finance partners to the functions and businesses they support.

This Financial Officer role will support the following responsibilities: Assisting the business / function in their efforts to establish and deliver financial objectives related to revenues, expenses, return on investment and capital Supporting short- and long-term budgeting, forecasting and planning processes through engagement with functional partners such as FP&A Providing detailed evaluation for key investments and tracking ongoing performance and expense management/budgeting for those investments Responsibilities: Advising and partnering with key functions / business stakeholders, such as Product Management leads and business execution leads, for financial business decisions and plans Developing and maintaining an understanding of the core mandate and strategic objectives Providing insightful analysis that contributes to performance-based outcomes both forward looking and backward-looking evaluation and communication of output on key financial topics and areas of opportunity or risk Supporting execution of the team's strategic direction and projects Maintaining strong partnerships with Product Management heads and other functional partners to support and inform financial business decisions and plans Maintaining partnerships with Business heads and other functional partners to support and inform financial business decisions and plans Partnering with Product Management leads and Cross functional teams to assess potential corrective actions for variances to financial plans through detailed analysis to determine best course of action Partnering with cross functional teams on a variety of activities including expense optimization opportunities and initiatives Providing financial reports and analytics to Finance leads, including key financial metrics, results, trends and analysis Assisting in preparation of Monthly and Quarterly Business Review materials with FP&A teams and other functional partners Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular Also, consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience Knowledge of and / or experience working with the Credit Card or Consumer Lending Financial management experience, including financial planning, budgeting, reporting, analytics and analysis Strong analytical and communication skills and proven ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders Education:
  • Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred This role resides in the Citi USCC Lead Financial Officer organization and will have responsibility for P&L management, strategic planning, investment decisioning and business development support for Macy’s private label and cobranded retail partnership credit card portfolios. The professional will be engaged multiple investment decisions, financial analysis, reporting, discussions on forward looking and actual financial performance against targets set Internally and with Partner, risk management and controls management for all financial topics we engage on. Ongoing financial management of specific terms with external client / teams. Management with analysis and insights on portfolio financial performance in coordination with the broader FP&A Team.
