Job Title: Senior Training Manager, Field Service, and Operational Planning & Integration Lead Travel: Local * * * Position Description: The Senior Training Manager is responsible for the development, execution, and continuous improvement of training programs supporting government, military, and commercial customers.
In addition, this position serves as a senior Field Service Representative (FSR) and operational planning & integration lead, providing direct customer support, mission planning expertise, operational assessments, and fielded system sustainment.
The ideal candidate combines operational military experience, training management expertise, customer engagement skills, and program execution capabilities to ensure successful deployment, operation, and sustainment of complex technical systems
Responsibilities
- Training Program Management Develop and execute comprehensive training strategies for operators, maintainers, and system administrators.
- Design and manage instructor-led, field-based, simulation, and online training programs.
- Develop training plans, curricula, lesson plans, training support packages (TSPs), and student evaluation criteria.
- Ensure training products align with customer requirements, operational concepts, and system capabilities.
- Manage training schedules, resources, facilities, and instructor assignments.
- Measure training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and performance metrics.
- Support new equipment training (NET) and train-the-trainer programs.
- Field Service Representative (FSR) Operations Serve as senior customer-facing representative supporting deployed systems.
- Provide on-site technical assistance, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- Coordinate system installation, integration, testing, and acceptance activities.
- Support field exercises, demonstrations, operational assessments, and customer evaluations.
- Maintain direct communication with customer operational units and leadership.
- Document field issues and coordinate corrective actions with engineering and product teams.
- Develop and execute sustainment and support plans.
- Operational Planning and Mission Support Lead operational planning activities supporting customer missions and exercises.
- Develop concepts of operation (CONOPS), tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and employment concepts.
- Participate in mission planning and operational rehearsals.
- Conduct mission analysis and capability assessments.
- Support exercise planning, execution, and after-action reviews.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, operational units, and program leadership.
- Develop operational readiness assessments and recommendations.
- Customer Engagement Serve as trusted advisor to military and government customers.
- Support customer working groups, planning conferences, and program reviews Provide operational feedback to product management, engineering, and program teams.
- Support business development activities, demonstrations, and customer site visits.
- Brief senior military and government officials on system capabilities and operational employment.
- Program Support Support integrated product teams (IPTs) and program reviews.
- Contribute to schedules, risk management, issue resolution, and milestone planning.
- Support test and evaluation activities, including DT, OT, and user assessments.
- Assist with development of training-related contract deliverables.
- Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Military Science, Education, Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred. 15+ years of Military, Government or defense industry experience 5+ years managing training programs and instructional development Experience serving as a Field Services Representative or operation support lead Supported Military exercises, operational testing or Field activities Experience developing training material and conducting classroom and field instructions - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.

- Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
