- Amazon's Core Shopping QA Operations (OPTIMA) team is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) to support quality validation across our customer-facing shopping ecosystem. OPTIMA delivers end-to-end quality assurance for Core Shopping experiences — spanning Off-Amazon Selection (OAS), Rufus, Alexa+
- Details Page (OffersX and VariationsX) and our QAEs play a vital role in ensuring these experiences are reliable, consistent
- launch-ready across devices and locales. As a QAE on the OPTIMA team, you will execute functional, regression
- exploratory testing across shopping cloud services and device experiences, contribute to launch readiness and quality validation efforts
- develop test cases and documentation that support the broader quality engineering organization. You will work closely with senior SDETs, product and engineering teams to grow your quality engineering skills while making meaningful contributions to OPTIMA's quality goals. Key job responsibilities
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing for shopping cloud services, device experiences, and customer-facing features across multiple locales
- Develop and maintain clear, thorough, and reusable test cases and test documentation under the guidance of senior QAEs and QA leadership
- Identify, document, and triage defects with clear reproduction steps, and collaborate with engineering teams to drive timely resolution
- Partner with SDET and automation teams to provide well-structured manual test cases that serve as blueprints for automation development
- Collaborate with SDET and automation teams to translate manual test cases into automated regression suites, driving measurable improvements in automation coverage
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of launch-readiness checklists and stakeholder-facing quality documentation
- Validate accessibility features and support accessibility testing efforts in partnership with senior team members and accessibility SMEs
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing quality perspectives to team discussions
- Support offshore or distributed QA team members by executing and refining test runbooks and onboarding documentation

- Experience in automation testing - Experience in manual testing - Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI) - 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience - Experience with automation or working with scripting languages like Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell
