Amazon Music is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join the Amazon Music BD Growth & Partnerships team as the senior technical owner of our partner integrations. This is a technical leadership role, not a support or account management function. You will be the primary technical point of contact for our most strategic external partners, the person who translates Amazon Music's API and platform capabilities into high-quality integration reality, and the person who raises the bar on how we scale partner onboarding across a growing and increasingly diverse portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of solutions architecture, technical program management, and developer experience. You will drive end-to-end delivery of partner integrations by coordinating across external partner engineering teams and a wide set of internal Amazon Music product and technology stakeholders — including Consumer Platform Technologies, Automotive & Connected Devices, Big Screens, Ticketing, and Customer Experience. Getting integrations shipped on time and to bar requires as much program discipline as it does technical depth: you own the plan, the blockers, and the outcome. You will own not just your partner portfolio but the SA practice itself — defining integration design standards, technical review frameworks, partner certification criteria, and the self-service onboarding mechanisms that are central to our partnership led growth. You will bring structure to ambiguity, build reusable systems rather than one-off solutions, and represent the voice of the partner in our product and engineering decisions. You will be expected to drive outcomes and hold accountability across teams without direct authority. Key job responsibilities **Partner Integration Ownership** Serve as the primary technical owner between Amazon Music and a portfolio of external partners spanning ticketing, automotive OEMs, big screen platforms, wearables, mobile apps, social platforms, and emerging surfaces. Guide partners through the full integration lifecycle — from API design consultation and architecture review through implementation, certification, and production launch. Own integration health for your portfolio: triage inbound issues, reproduce and diagnose failures, route to the correct owning team, and drive resolution with clear SLAs and partner-facing communication that maintains trust and momentum. **Technical Program Management & Cross-Functional Delivery** Own end-to-end technical delivery of partner integrations — not just the architecture, but the plan, the timeline, the blockers, and the shipped result. Act as the connective tissue between external partner engineering teams and the internal Amazon Music product and technology organizations they depend on (Music Product Technology including Automotive & Connected Devices, Big Screens, CXI, Legal, and BD). Manage milestones, surface risks early, escalate blockers with context and a proposed resolution path, and drive accountability across stakeholders who do not report to you. Integrations in your portfolio land on time, to quality bar, with clean post-launch handoffs — and when they don't, you already have a recovery plan underway. **Technical Leadership & Architecture** Conduct architecture and design reviews for new and evolving partner integrations, ensuring solutions are secure, performant, and aligned with Amazon Music platform standards and a 99.5%+ reliability bar. Lead technical feasibility assessments with Business Development for prospective deals. Partner with the platform engineering team to transition existing partners to the next-generation API platform — providing technical guidance, hands-on debugging support, and proactive communication of breaking changes. **Developer Platform & Self-Service Onboarding** Own and evolve the SA practice: define integration design standards, technical review frameworks, and partner certification criteria that scale beyond individual SA bandwidth. **Scalable Assets & Knowledge Infrastructure** Build and maintain reusable technical assets that multiply SA effectiveness and reduce partner time-to-launch: integration guides, reference implementations, onboarding playbooks, API documentation, certification runbooks, and troubleshooting resources. Translate patterns across the partner portfolio into structured roadmap inputs — turning individual partner friction into systemic platform improvements. Every asset you build makes the next integration faster, not just the current one. A day in the life No two days look the same in this role — and that's the point. You might start the morning triaging an authentication failure reported by a partner, pulling logs and coordinating with the platform engineering team to get a fix scoped before their next sprint. By mid-morning you're in a design review with a new partner, walking their engineers through API certification requirements and flagging an architecture decision that will cause problems at scale if they don't catch it now. After lunch you're in an internal sync with BD and Legal, providing technical input on a prospective deal with an emerging platform — translating what the partner is asking for into what's actually buildable and at what cost. Then you're back at your desk drafting an integration guide that three future partners will use, so you never have to answer the same question manually again. By end of day you've moved three integrations forward, unblocked one internal dependency that had been sitting for two weeks, and shipped something that will outlast the week. You are the person external partners trust to tell them the truth, and the person internal teams trust to represent the partner's reality. You operate at the intersection of deep technical work and cross-functional delivery — and you find satisfaction not just in solving problems, but in building the systems that prevent them. About the team The Amazon Music BD Growth & Partnerships team powers Amazon Music's distribution across the world's most important partner devices, platforms, and services. We own and operate the API infrastructure, developer tools, and integration frameworks that bring Amazon Music to active partner surfaces spanning automotive OEMs, big screen platforms, wearables, hearables, voice assistants, and emerging digital experiences. We sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and business development. When we get the partner integration experience right, every new launch makes the next one faster and higher quality. Amazon Music reaches customers wherever they are, on whatever device they choose
