Who we are looking for: We are looking for a skilled IT Business Analyst with 7-10 years of experience in Business Analysis - Gathering business/system requirements, preparing Data Mapping Documents, Functional Specification Documents, Use Case documents, Reviewing Test Cases, Coordinating User Acceptance Testing Efforts, Conduct meetings with Business and IT teams etc.
Should possess technical & functional analysis capabilities with strong communication and analytical skills. As a Business Analyst: Should be able to research and gather business/system requirements through the facilitation of meetings with end users.
Should be able to analyze current processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities and solutions. Perform data analysis using SQL Queries & SQL tools. Decompose abstract and complex details/concepts into business and functional requirements that can be understood by the stakeholders (i.e. end users, developers, testers, etc.) Bridge business and technology, define requirements for complex trading workflows, and collaborate with global development and business teams.
Develop conceptual modeling and process workflows to illustrate current and future states Create detailed business and functional requirement documents Prepare end user documentation and facilitating end user training Review test cases and provide feedback/approval, coordinate testing efforts Conduct and lead Agile ceremonies Leading the end-to-end SDLC.
Includes participating and directing as needed the entire project from initiation to implementation to ensure business objectives are met - this includes actively participating in technical design and architecture reviews and test case reviews, etc.
These skills will help you succeed in this role: Previous business analysis experience in capital markets, investment banking, or financial services Expertise in Fixed Income Capital Markets, Trade Lifecycle Management (front to back), and trading platform design/build.
Deep understanding of financial instruments - equities, fixed income (particularly bonds), derivatives, and market mechanics Prior experience working on trade booking, trade capture and execution platforms. Writing SQL Queries and exposure to various data analytical functions Working Knowledge of ETL Concepts and tools Agile/Scrum experience Advanced MS Office Skills Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills Experience writing, reviewing technology documents including user guides Experience using Project Management/Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence Education & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, or Information Technology Fluent verbal & written English communication and strong interpersonal skills Good understanding of software development lifecycle Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Team player, detail oriented and self-motivated to drive work to proceed with minimal supervision Multiple tasking ability.
Good time management skills to manage project priorities Additional requirements (Good to have): Prior experience in Securities lending, Repo trading Understanding of Securities Market Reference data and Asset Classes is preferred Certifications in Business Analysis/Project Management Knowledge/experience with Bigdata Technologies, AWS, Databricks is a plus Are you the right candidate?
