About the role We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Health & Hygiene to lead and enhance health programs and industrial hygiene strategies across Kennecott operations.
In this role, you will play a key part in protecting workforce wellbeing, ensuring compliance, and supporting operational performance through proactive risk management and strong collaboration. This is a great opportunity for a health and hygiene specialist to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards while driving strategic and tactical initiatives to enhance employee health and wellbeing.
Reporting to the Manager HSE Risk & Governance and working in a collaborative community, a challenging and exciting environment, a diverse team within the HSE System, Assurance & Information department, you will be: Leading the development and execution of Industrial Hygiene and health strategies across operations Identifying, assessing, and mitigating health risks and exposures across the workforce Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Rio Tinto HSE standards Partnering with operations and HSE teams to provide insights that support decisions and improve performance Delivering and continuously improving health and hygiene programs Promoting mental and physical health initiatives to support workforce wellbeing Monitoring, analyzing, and communicating health performance trends and improvement opportunities Fostering a proactive safety culture through collaboration and clear expectations About you A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team Bachelor’s degree in health or hygiene or equivalent Experience in industrial hygiene or HSE within industrial, mining, or construction environments Proven ability to assess risks and implement effective mitigation strategies Experience contributing to or leading health or hygiene programs Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Asset: CIH certification (or equivalent) or progress toward certification If you’re interested in this role and believe you can contribute, we would be delighted to receive your application, even if your profile does not match 100% of the qualifications.” What we offer Be recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you’ve helped the world progress.

Where you’ll be working Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter, and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States.
