ETF Specialist, VP II - State Street Investment Management

Roles and Responsibilities The ETF Specialist is a high impact role responsible for helping to shape and articulate State Street Investment Management’s global ETF capabilities to align with the investment environment and client objectives.

The Specialist plays a critical role in both increasing the firm’s ETF profitability, market share, brand and net promoter scores. The ETF Specialist will deliver presentations, product training, and market updates to intermediary and institutional clients.

The ETF Specialist will spend the majority of their time traveling and/or engaging with clients in virtual meetings. The ETF Specialist will be generalist with the ability to convey topics across asset classes and play a critical role in delivering the strategic framework for investment themes, providing actionable insights for client portfolios, and serving as a key voice of State Street Investment Management ETFs in external forums.

The ETF Specialist will act as a bridge between investment teams, ETF Research, distribution, product development, and clients by translating complex market trends into clear investment narratives and solutions. The Specialist will participate in the go-to-market commercialization strategy for ETF product launches.

The ETF Specialist will be responsible for covering State Street Investment Management’s expanding global ETF product line-up, will be closely aligned with sales teams, and be an expert on specific client types (Intermediary, Institutional).

The ETF Specialist will conduct research on client trends, investor behaviour, and competitor ETF offerings to identify opportunities to increase sales. The Specialist will work closely with the sales team to identify investor needs and support asset gathering initiatives.

The Specialist will conduct competitive and market analysis to identify sales opportunities across asset classes and regions using business intelligence data. The ETF Specialist will support multiple geographies within the EMEA region, sales teams, and client types with market intelligence, ETF product insights, and tailored investment narratives.

Based in Germany this role will have a primary focus on the German speaking area of EMEA and will also be expected to travel in some other countries depending on business requirement. The ETF Specialist will represent State Street Investment Management’s ETF capabilities at industry events and conferences.

The ETF Specialist will collaborate with ETF Research to develop thought leadership and media content that promotes State Street Investment Management’s ETF market footprint.
