As a Finance Manager, you will work directly with business leaders to support resource management and controllership functions, identify opportunities

This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. Key job responsibilities
  • Leading the financial planning and forecasting process for business initiatives under Alexa+
  • Building and presenting KPI dashboards with monthly and quarterly financial and business insights
  • Owning finance communication with the business teams on performance, long term planning, risks, and opportunities
  • Driving automation and scale of financial reporting in order to simplify processes for internal stakeholders
  • Lead deep dives into key cost drivers for month end reviews, forecasts, and annual operating plans
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience - 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business - 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience - 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
