Job Summary Bakken Overview The Bakken trend is a sequence of liquids-rich sand and shale layers in the Williston Basin, which stretches across western North Dakota and into Canada. We hold approximately 799,000 net acres in the Williston Basin, located in North Dakota and eastern Montana.
The primary producing zones are the Middle Bakken and Three Forks formations. We operated three rigs and one frac crew on average during 2025, resulting in 72 operated wells drilled and 98 operated wells brought online. During 2025, net production averaged 204 MBOED.
Position Overview If you are selected as the Operating Integrity (OI) Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for mentoring and training field staff. The OI Specialist will be expected to spend ~90% of their time in the field conducting hands-on training with multi-skill operators (MSOs), specialists, and completing competency assessments, and working with the Operating Integrity Lead.
The position will also work with the production supervisors, and engineers to update/develop standard operating guidelines (SOG) for the Bakken Asset. This position will report to the Bakken Operations Support Superintendent and will play a key role in improving safe and efficient working practices.
This position can be located in Dunn Center, Watford City, or New Town, ND. Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of Dunn Center, Watford, City, or New Town, ND. This is a Safety Sensitive position. Your Responsibilities may include: Support area foreman in assessing Multi-Skilled Operator (MSO) route performance.
Assist foreman in development of tailored training/action plans for opportunities and track results. Responsible for SOG/SOP Review and approval process. Consulting end-users on procedure development and communicating applicable updates to stakeholders.
Act as Operations Representative for (Base & Facilities) design review processes including but not limited to: Hazard-Operability/Hazard-ID/Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA)/Layers-of-Protection Analysis (LOPA). Collaborate with design teams championing design changes, training, operability, and reliability improvements on behalf of Bakken Operations.
Pursue the best possible outcome while maintaining an enterprise view and elevate (as required) where alignment cannot be fully achieved. Support Facility Engineering (FE) Team with Management of Change (MOC) prioritization and information gathering.
Actively engage/participate in facility Basis of Design (BOD) development and Safe Operating Limit (SOL) review on behalf of the Bakken Operations Superintendent. Solicit input from end-users (production foreman, MSOs)early in the design phase.
Champion down-time reduction through critical spare identification and elevation to the Bakken Reliability Engineer. Support of Bakken Operations Superintendent through periodic review of Bakken Safety-Bypass log. Participate in shutdown planning-reviews to identify schedule collapse opportunities and post-shutdown After Action Review (AAR).
Support Learning Organization/Human Performance principles through identification/reduction of error likely-situations and participation in Learning Teams (as required). Champion uplift/optimization strategies and downtime reduction.
