The Core Selling Partner Experience team defines, implements, and enforces quality standards for all Amazon-built experiences for all of our selling partners worldwide and supports our Global Selling program. We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join our Governance team, which is focused on measuring the quality of the Selling Partner Experience. Specifically, this role will partner with engineering, science, and product leaders to provide insights on the Seller experience, create key performance indicators, design and develop scaled, automated, user-friendly reporting, and partner on unlocking opportunities for our selling partners by breaking down complex problems. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, skilled at blending advanced reporting with strong critical thinking and project management skills, and be experienced in designing and delivering cross-functional custom reporting solutions. Key job responsibilities -Establish architectural patterns for enterprise analytics solutions -Design technical standards and best practices for analytics delivery -Create frameworks for metrics definition and governance -Lead implementation of strategic analytics initiatives -Drive innovation in analytics capabilities -Design and implement technical solutions with appropriate analytics strategy and data set design -Ensure BI solutions correctly and efficiently support the business -Mentor team members on architecture and design -Communicate effectively with management audiences through narratives and business reviews
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience - 1+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience - 1+ years of performing statistical analysis experience - 1+ years of developing automated reporting experience - 3+ years of in the job offered or a related occupation experience - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics
  • a related field - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight
  • similar tools - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling - Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale
  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3
