Key job responsibilities As a member of the team, in this role, you will: * Work with Org leadership, Principal Engineers to define and drive the technical and architectural vision of Selection Monitoring’s External E-commerce source discovery and enrichment. * Build and launch scalable, fault-tolerant
- highly available services and AI Agents that can solve complex problems in entity resolution, deduplication, classification, enrichments and 3rd party data integrations to automatically discovery, catalog
- refresh meta information and signals for millions of eCommerce websites worldwide. * Build and launch efficient storage solutions for managing large-scale datasets, ensuring optimal performance for both write-heavy ingestion and read-heavy analytical workloads. * Build and grow a team of high performing SDEs

About the team Amazon’s Selection Monitoring team is responsible for making the biggest catalog on the planet even bigger. Our systems process billions of products from millions of sources to algorithmically find products not already sold on Amazon and programmatically add them to the Amazon catalog. We apply parallel processing, AI/GenAI, machine learning and deep learning algorithms to evaluate products and brands in order to identify and prioritize products and brands to be added to Amazon’s catalog. The datasets produced by our team are used by teams across Amazon to improve: product information, search and discoverability, pricing
- delivery experience. Our work involves building state-of-the-art Information Retrieval (IR) systems to mine the web and automatically create structured entities from un-structure/semi-structured data. We constantly stretch the boundaries of large scale distributed systems, Elastic Computing, Big Data, Artificial intelligence and SOA technologies to tackle challenges at Amazon’s global scale.
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - 3+ years of engineering team management experience - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification
- livesite operations - Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams
