CACI has established and upcoming positions throughout the European theater supporting multiple customers for the Department of Defense. We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of AFRICOM, EUCOM and CJTF-HOA’s mission objectives.
CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Senior Network Engineer . This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS.
Responsibility The Sr. Network Engineer will supervise and provide senior level technical expertise, training and mentoring to Network Engineering and Administrator teams. Responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, repairing and supporting all switching and routing devices, firewalls, load balancers, alarmed carrier devices, uninterruptable power supplies, in-line network encryption devices, etc.
Configure devices in accordance with security policies. Maintain and update OS and firmware as required. Monitor and report operational status. Resolve connectivity issues when they occur to include working closely with vendors and service providers.
Develop and maintain IP address schemes for all assigned networks, and annually review and update the Master IP Routing Schema. Manage circuit provisioning throughout the delivery life cycle. Install and test circuit and base extensions and coordinate with external entities and the Government leads for end-to-end testing and activation.
Monitor capacity and utilization. Provide trending and capacity planning services to analyze and plan for efficient utilization and management of the network. Troubleshoot and correct all detected or reported network faults or outages. Install, configure, key, re-key, and manage NSA Type 1 Encryptors.
Provide assistance via remote access, phone, or in person. Candidates need excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with network hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity.
They must be customer service-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of resources. The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, have strong leadership skills, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.
The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users. Lead Network Support for LAN/WAN, RAS services.
Network Operations Center (NOC) Support Lead. Lead the management and operation of the JRSS, AV, VoIP, VTC, UC, and maintenance of Voice servers. Performs/supports/directs all network activities to include IPTV services, CSfC support, and the support to the FLAGSHIP network.
Conduct annual service continuity site assessments, identify deficiencies to include single points of failure, and recommend architectural and design modifications and improvements. Coordinates hardware and software system installation and ensures specifications are met.
Create and maintain thorough documentation for all incident resolutions and troubleshooting instructions in the Knowledge Databases. Working with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.
Analyzing and making recommendations for hardware and software standardization. Additionally, the Network Engineer will provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required
Qualifications
- Required Currently hold an adjudicated Top Secret/SCI clearance and be able to maintain.
- Without an active TS/SCI - Automatic Disqualification.
- To pass TESA and be able to work in Germany, you must have either: BA/BS + 7 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 9 years recent specialized or a major cert + 9 years recent specialized or 13 years of recent specialized experience.

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or Data Center CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater) Expert level experience working with and supporting Cisco Routers and Switches in a complex enterprise environment Experience with Cisco software defined networking (ACI) Desired CCIE Data Center ITIL v3 or v4 – Foundation Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript
