As a leader in our Cyber Security team, you’ll manage a group of Information and Cyber Security Analysts responsible for protecting Telstra’s systems, applications and networks from compromise, theft and damage. You’ll provide critical assurance that customer data and services are secure, reinforcing Telstra’s position as a trusted partner.
Additionally, you’ll drive the ongoing growth and innovation of our Cyber Detection and Response (CDR) offering, ensuring it remains aligned with modern and emerging security technologies and practices. About You A collaborative and forward-thinking leader, you bring the ability to inspire teams with a clear vision while driving accountability and high performance.
You empower others to make decisions, coach for growth, and foster an inclusive, high-performing environment. With strong technical expertise in cyber security and networks, you apply data-led insights to anticipate change and deliver secure, customer-focused outcomes at pace.
Essential Proven experience managing or leading a Security Operations Centre in a large enterprise or critical infrastructure environment Demonstrated ability to run 24x7 SOC operations, including roster management, handover quality, and operational resilience Experience managing incident triage, investigation, escalation, and recovery across multiple severity levels Clear understanding of the end‑to‑end incident lifecycle Hands‑on experience leading major cyber incidents, including: Decision‑making under pressure Executive and stakeholder communications Coordination across technology, risk, legal, and business teams Works well in a complex, fast‑paced operational environment and is motivated by solving challenging problems with real business impact.
Australian Citizen with NV1 Clearance or ability to obtain it. Will obtain an Australian Federal Police Check.
