Job Description

Officer , Location : Mumbai Who we are looking for As a Corporate Actions COE Officer, the ideal candidate will support and assist Client Operations and other operational Shared Services teams/Centers of Excellence (COEs) by monitoring and processing custody, accounting, and middle-office-related events to the fund’s records accurately and on time.

The role requires prompt follow-up on exceptions and timely problem resolution to mitigate risk to the corporation while delivering excellent service to clients and supporting effective people management. Why this role is important to us Corporate Actions COE manages end-to-end processing of mandatory and voluntary events across custody, accounting, and middle-office services for clients.

This involves processing financial activities that help other teams derive NAV, cash and stock projection reports, and portfolio performance reports for clients. As part of Corporate Actions COE, you will be required to contribute to the development of processes, people, and risk standards for the team.

What you will be responsible for As an Officer, you will be responsible for: Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. Resource Management : Manage resources (people, budget, technology) effectively to achieve operational objectives.

Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement, taking corrective actions as needed. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of managers and staff within the operations department. Collaboration: Work with other executive teams to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization.

Quality Control: Ensure that the company's operations deliver high-quality products or services that meet customer needs. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential operational risks. Deep Knowledge of Corporate Actions: Understand the end-to-end corporate actions cycle, fund accounting, bonds, dividends, mandatory and voluntary event types, and the corporate action event life cycle.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of validation checks and controls across different life-cycle stages, including event setup, entitlement calculations, election processing, payment, and post-payment reconciliations, as well as fund accounting, middle-office operations, and relevant regulations.

A sound understanding of technology tools, AI, and Agile frameworks is preferred. Education & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Economics with a specialization in Business, Accounting, Finance, or another finance-related program.

Inter CA/Inter ICWAI or CFA pursuit is preferred. 10–16 years of experience in accounting, finance, mutual fund operations, loan servicing, or related careers is preferred. Additional Requirements Not specified. About State Street What We Do.
