We grew in value faster than headcount and we’re looking to align the two quickly. What you'll work on here You'll own the accounting and financial reporting foundation that helps Mintlify scale from its current stage toward $50M+ ARR. This role sits at the center of our finance function, bridging our outsourced accounting partner, operational finance processes, and executive-level planning and reporting.
Your responsibilities will include: Owning month-end close end-to-end and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting Managing payroll, sales commissions, bill payments, expense reviews, and approval workflows Leading accounts receivable, collections, and DSO improvement across Mintlify and Helicone Overseeing revenue recognition and billing reconciliation across usage-based, credit-based, and multi-year contracts Owning federal and state tax compliance, filings, and the implementation of compliance tooling Managing standalone financial reporting, intercompany accounting, and billing infrastructure for Helicone Building internal controls, improving accounting processes, and preparing the business for future audit readiness Producing reliable metrics and reporting that leadership, investors, and the board can trust Success in this role means creating a finance function that operates accurately, efficiently, and independently while enabling the company to scale confidently.
What you’ll bring to the table 5+ years of progressive accounting, controllership, or finance experience within SaaS or technology companies Deep expertise in full-cycle accounting, month-end close ownership, financial reporting, and GAAP Strong understanding of SaaS revenue recognition, including usage-based billing, credits, overages, and recurring revenue models Experience managing accounts receivable, collections, cash flow reporting, and operational finance processes Familiarity with SaaS metrics such as ARR, NRR, GRR, run-rate revenue, and DSO Proven ability to manage external accounting partners while maintaining ownership and accountability for outcomes Experience building and scaling finance processes in fast-growing environments We're looking for someone with exceptional ownership and agency.
You'll be responsible for a broad set of functions that today sit with our COO, so the ability to independently prioritize, identify issues early, and drive execution without heavy direction is critical. You should be equally comfortable reconciling complex billing data, improving controls, partnering with stakeholders across the business, and rolling up your sleeves when needed.
