We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Python, microservices architecture, Azure cloud services, and AI/ML integration. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, lead, design, develop, and deliver scalable, resilient, and high-performance enterprise solutions in cloud-native environments, with a strong focus on building GenAI-powered systems.
Required Qualifications 8+ years of software development experience with Python, React, FastAPI, and microservices architecture. Proven experience with Azure cloud platforms, including AKS, Blob Storage, Service Bus, queues, and Azure OpenAI Service. 3+ years of experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions, including RAG pipelines, agentic systems, and applications using LangChain, LangGraph, and vector databases.
Experience with modern AI frameworks and tooling. Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate engineering workflows. In-depth knowledge of GenAI/LLM integrations (Azure OpenAI or similar).
Experience with evaluation frameworks and LLM-as-a-judge methodologies. Experience building advanced semantic layers and semantic search, such as hybrid search. Experience building robust validation to prevent AI hallucinations and ensure accurate results.
Proven, in-depth hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB. Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and event-driven systems. Solid understanding of distributed systems, design patterns, and API security (OAuth2, JWT).
Experience with AI agent frameworks and emerging protocols such as MCP, including building and integrating MCP servers to extend AI agent capabilities, and building Agent Skills. Experience with Temporal orchestration and event-driven architecture.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including with GitHub Actions. Experience building secure code, including detecting and mitigating vulnerabilities. Proficient in high-level architecture design of distributed, scalable AI solutions.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Strong communication and leadership skills. Experience developing agent user interfaces and integrating them with external UI systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience driving best practice in architecture design.
Experience converting voice to transcripts using AI. Experience in computer vision, particularly recognition of low-resolution or blurry objects. Experience working in healthcare domains. Staying current with the latest AI/ML technologies, including active involvement in AI/ML research and evaluation, with one or more published papers.
Domain knowledge of enterprise risk management. Knowledge of financial domains, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation. Knowledge of investment management, such as portfolio risk management, hedge funds, Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) document interpretation, and high-yield bond market research.
Domain knowledge of procurement process. Education Master's degree in Computer Science. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $83,430.00 - $166,860.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
