Job Summary: The Copywriter will be part of Lowe’s Global Marketing Team based out of Bangalore. The candidate, under the supervision of the Copy Manager, collaborate with Designers and Producers to build collaterals for various marketing channels.
The Copywriter creates impactful copy with a demonstrated flexibility to write broad brand messages through to highly promotional offers. They are required to develop a thorough understanding of Lowe’s tone and voice and American cultural nuances and seasonal moments.
This role is expected to be up to date on all media channel formats, standards and trends. The Copywriter works with the extended team in India and Mooresville to translate the business brief into words. This requires an understanding of the customer mind-set and the ability to find a unique reason to believe, and to convince our customers that Lowe's is the preferred retailer for their needs.
This role requires experience across multiple channels, channels like email, digital displays, social media, print media and assists senior copywriters on different projects based on complexity. The candidate will require to have good communication skills to be able to understand requirements accurately and present their concepts confidently to partners.
The candidate should take accountability for their work, and overtime, learn to work with minimum supervision. The suitable candidate should be a good team player, self-motivated and bring in fresh concepts that can elevate the enterprise brand communication creatives.
Roles & Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities: Develop brand-consistent creative concepts, print copy and broadcast scripts based on a deep understanding of the Lowe’s brand guidelines Works with cross-functional design and copy teams to provide enterprise-level concepts and copy Creates concepts and copy for collaterals including but not limited to in-store signage, radio, digital and social media Provide diverse solutions that work best for the brand and align with the strategy and brief.
Works closely with the senior and lead copywriters to understand strategy, maintain consistency and solving problems On a daily basis, the Copywriter carries a workload of conceptual and tactical copywriting requests. Collaborates with designers, producers and marketing partners to develop cohesive brand communications Presents concepts to internal teams for review and approval Writes copy that’s conceptual and in campaign for Lowe’s digital and print advertising communications Follows and adheres to the team’s processes and timelines Years of Experience: 3-5 years preferably from a creative agency or retail setup.
Education Qualification & Certifications (optional) Required Minimum Qualifications : Bachelors in Marketing/ Communication/ Journalism/ English Skill Set Required Primary Skills (must have) Key Skill: Copywriting, storytelling for brands, media/brand strategy, GCC/retail/advertising background, stakeholder management.
Demonstrates detail-orientation with a bias to accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills including an expert level of knowledge of the English language, grammar, spelling and punctuation Software – MS office Experience in writing for various channels – social, display and emails.
Showcases efficiency and error-free delivery. Attention to details is a must. Secondary Skills (desired) Familiarity with Mac interface and OS. Experience in working for retail and advertising. A good understanding of the nuances of American English.
