Job Title: AFRICOM-Interagency Integration SME Job Category: Intelligence Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular-Long Term Assignment Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 100% Type of Travel: Outside Continental US - Hazard * * * The Opportunity: The Interagency Integration SME expands AFRICOM's J37 ability to align exercises with broader U.S.

Government diplomacy, development, and defense objectives. This role ensures DoS, USAID, Embassy Country Teams, interagency mission priorities, and national strategies are woven into long-term AFRICOM exercise design. Responsibilities: -Coordinate directly with U.S.

Embassies, Country Teams, and DoS regional bureaus to align 5-year exercise plans with Integrated Country Strategies and Functional Bureau priorities. -Develop IA integration training modules, injects, and vignettes that accurately represent interagency processes, authorities, and capabilities. -Facilitate IA participation in planning events, ensuring roles, responsibilities, and authorities are clearly captured in exercise design. -Create realistic IA replication frameworks when agencies cannot directly participate—ensuring accurate portrayal of governance, humanitarian, stabilization, and crisis response mechanisms. -Integrate best practices from interagency coordination efforts across the DoW and Joint Force. -Produce Senior Leader briefings articulating IA linkages, strategic impacts, and opportunities for enhanced burden-sharing and partner engagement

Qualifications

  • Required- -Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy
  • similar and 10 years of relevant experience. -7+ years of direct interagency or diplomatic coordination experience. -Familiarity with national strategies, civilian agency authorities
  • crisis response frameworks. -TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Desired: -Master’s degree in a relevant field. -Experience with exercise planning in a multinational environment. -Prior work with USAFRICOM, DoS
  • USAID. -Strong written and oral communication skills for senior leader briefings. -Experience developing training and replication frameworks for interagency integration. - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.
