- External job description Amazon's Retail Business Services (RBS) Learning & Development (L&D) team is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Training Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing and executing L&D initiatives that support the business objectives of RBS within assigned Business Unit(s). This role will drive training delivery, develop and implement standard work practices
- improve quality and performance results with a focus on core learning programs (Management and Leadership development, Executive Development learning technology training)
- Training Return on Investment (ROI). The ideal candidate brings strong facilitation experience (especially for senior leadership programs), instructional design expertise, a data-driven approach to measuring learning impact

- 7+ years of experience in learning & development, training, or organizational development, including public speaking and group facilitation
- Experience in designing and delivering manager and leadership development programs (e.g., first-time manager, people manager effectiveness, senior leader onboarding)
- Experience with project management, including managing multiple concurrent initiatives
- Demonstrated experience in program impact evaluation — measuring learning effectiveness, behavioral change, and business ROI of training interventions
- Experience in instructional design, including needs analysis and multi-media instruction
- Knowledge of human resource theory, including employee relations, learning, and performance management
- Knowledge of GenAI tools and applications, with willingness to continuously learn as GenAI evolves
- Experience dealing with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements

- Partner with Business Unit leaders to understand performance goals, required YOY improvements, trend analysis, and provide training solutions to achieve these goals
- Manage end-to-end delivery of learning programs including Management and Leadership Development, Behavioral programs, and learning technology training
- Conduct needs analysis to identify skill gaps and develop data-driven learning solutions aligned to business priorities
- Design, develop, and deliver manager and leadership development programs including first-time manager onboarding, people manager effectiveness, and senior leader readiness curricula
- Own program management lifecycle for leadership development initiatives — from needs assessment and content design through pilot delivery, iteration, and scaled rollout
- Analyze Learning metrics to identify opportunities and measure Training Return on Investment (ROI) for assigned Business Unit(s)
- Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions to certify trainers within Business Units and ensure consistent delivery standards
- Drive standardization of learning solutions within assigned scope and contribute feedback for continuous improvement
- React quickly and efficiently to production imperatives, scheduling conflicts, and RBS-wide rollouts
- Manage escalations by driving best practices and influencing Learning adoption within assigned Business Unit(s)
- Develop and implement impact evaluation frameworks for leadership programs using Kirkpatrick or equivalent models to measure behavioral change and business outcomes
- Partner with executive leadership to identify leadership capability gaps and co-create development interventions aligned to organizational strategy
- Foster the development and growth of Amazon employees through mentoring, teaching, and coaching
- Actively develop the L&D community by making customers and stakeholders aware of available instructional solutions
- Develop and execute communication strategies for promoting key training processes and initiatives within scope A day in the life A day in the life The L&D team is responsible for the successful orientation, training
- coaching of all employees on cross-department training needs and modalities. As a Senior Training Manager, you will facilitate training initiatives and communicate policies to existing and new employees to ensure RBS performance goals are met and/or exceeded. A typical day involves collaborating with business stakeholders to understand learning needs, managing training delivery schedules, analyzing program effectiveness data, coaching trainers on delivery standards
- working cross-functionally to ensure alignment of learning solutions with business outcomes. You will provide hands-on leadership and direction to learning resources and trainers within your assigned Business Unit(s).

- 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
