What You Will Achieve This role will help ensure the MCT labs remain organized, operational, and ready to support ongoing research activities. By maintaining critical equipment, managing supplies and inventory, coordinating service and calibration, and supporting lab projects, the position will reduce operational downtime and improve day-to-day lab efficiency.
The role will also strengthen overall lab readiness by partnering with scientists, vendors, LIS, and Lab Support peers to resolve issues, support equipment moves and installs and contribute to continuous improvement across MCT operations. How You Will Achieve It In this role, you will: Take responsibility for individual contributions to achieve team deliverables, working effectively as a team member and coordinating with others.
Manage personal time and professional development, being accountable for results. Order and maintain specific reagents, buffers, and media according to established protocols. Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of lab instruments and equipment.
Assist with monitoring inventory levels and maintaining supplies to ensure uninterrupted research activities. Support sample processing, labeling, and storage, including handling biological materials in accordance with safety guidelines. Perform routine cleaning and organization of lab spaces to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Assist with the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, following proper procedures and regulations. Document lab activities accurately and maintain records as required. Collaborate with researchers to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and resolve operational challenges.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the lab. Work with Lab Support peers to help maintain additional Process Development labs and Sample Handling, as needed. Qualifications Must-Have High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant experience Operational knowledge of computerized systems Excellent oral and written communication skills Previous experience in a lab setting, preferably in molecular and cellular biology, is desirable.
Familiarity with lab safety practices. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Effective communication skills and attention to detail. Lifting up to 30 lbs, frequent standing/walking.
Nice-to-Have Strong problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Familiarity and basic understanding of common AI tools and a curiosity for learning how they can be used to enhance productivity Experience maintaining -80 & -20 freezers, Kuhner & Stericult incubators, Bio Safety Cabinets, and manual pipettes.

The salary for this position ranges from $24.22 to $40.36 per hour.
