Career Category Finance Job Description Job Summary The Business Performance Manager is responsible for managing complex technology projects, programs, and priority initiatives. The role provides leadership in project controls, financial management, schedule governance, risk management, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities Cost Management & Financial Controls Lead budget development, forecasting, and financial tracking activities. Monitor project expenditures, commitments, and variances. Conduct detailed cost reviews and provide recommendations.
Support project funding requests and financial governance activities. Schedule Development & Management Develop and maintain integrated project schedules. Ensure resource loading, schedule sequencing, and critical path accuracy. Conduct schedule risk assessments and mitigation planning.
Facilitate schedule reviews with project teams. Risk Management Lead project risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning. Manage change control processes and evaluate financial impacts. Ensure risks and opportunities are properly documented and tracked.
Project Reporting & Governance Develop executive-level project controls reports. Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks and PMO standards. Participate in project reviews, audits, and stage-gate assessments. Stakeholder Management Build strong partnerships with Project Managers, Finance, Procurement, and external partners.
Present project performance updates to leadership teams. Support cross-functional collaboration and decision-making. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field. 7+ years of experience in project controls, project management, cost management, or scheduling.
Strong expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Power BI, Anaplan, and advanced Excel. Preferred Qualifications PMP, EVP, PSP, PMI-SP, or similar certifications. Experience supporting large-scale capital projects. Pharmaceutical, biotech, engineering, or manufacturing industry experience.
