Oral Care Manufacturing Technician - Weekend Shift - $35.10/hr + $1.00 Shift Differential
Work Flexibility: Onsite Weekend Schedule: Thursday & Friday 4:30pm-12:30am, Saturday 10:30am-10:30pm, Sunday 12:30pm-12:30am Position Summary: The Technician will be an individual performer who is responsible for supporting all aspects of machinery reliability and improvements.
They will also be responsible for partnering with Engineering to improve process, electrical, and mechanical designs and provide product development support. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Independently determines and develops approach to machinery repair and troubleshooting.
Support process and systemic improvements Be able to work from written or verbal instructions and standard operating procedures in English Basic knowledge of motion controls, industrial controls, electrical and pneumatic operations Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of repairs to major breakdowns.
Supports solutions to a complex technical problem where the analysis of situations and date requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Work on review and improvements to both reliability issues and preventive maintenance. Perform set up and changeovers to production equipment for manufacturing operation in an effective manner.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic failures of production machines in a timely manner Perform PM work (preventative maintenance) as scheduled Enter work performed into AMMS Suggest and make modifications to production equipment to reduce overall cost Keeping inventory of essential spare parts and ordering of these when necessary Partner with Engineering and support improvement projects, validations, and enhance machine efficiencies.
Maintain GMP, GDP and quality standards Assist with investigations for NC’s attributed to machinery issues. Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 3+ years of Industrial Maintenance Technician experience; or Associates Degree in a Science or Engineering field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment or comparable experience Must be effective communicator and able to influence without authority.
- Experience with Mechanical, Electrical, and Pneumatic troubleshooting
Preferred
- Basic PLC and Electrical Controls experience and troubleshooting.
- Medical device or pharmaceutical background is a plus Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills Physical & Mental Requirements: Requires ability to lift/carry/maneuver up to 70 lbs with or without mechanical assistance on a frequent basis depending on site and product line Job demands include prolonged walking and standing, but may also include stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting and/or crawling as appropriate.
- May be required to reach, push or pull in order to accomplish job accountabilities.
- May be exposed to loud noises.
- Requires the operation of machinery as appropriate for performance of job.
- May require use of PPE, such as safety glasses in designated areas. $35.10/hr + $1.00 Shift Differential plus bonus potential and benefits.
