Role Summary This role provides advanced-level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases and supports backend performance optimization, data integration, documentation, and secure development practices.
Responsibilites Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications and APIs. Build secure, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot. Develop and maintain AWS-based microservices and serverless solutions. Implement API authentication and authorization using OAuth, Okta, and JWT.
Monitor application performance using Splunk, Honeycomb, and CloudWatch. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvements. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
Support production applications and drive service reliability. Willingness to mentor mid and junior level developers on the team Strong communication Skills Good stakeholder management skills to influence technical decisions. Hands-on experience with Agile, Confluence, JIRA, and monitoring and refining dashboards Qualifications and Skills Minimum 5+ years of experience in application development, system analysis, or database management.
Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT, or Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA). Proficiency in Java, Spring boot,Python Basics Excellence in AWS - Lambda, step functions, Dynamo DB, S3, ECS . Working knowledge of Splunk, Honeycomb, Cloud watch Good understanding in API – security - OAUTH/OKTA jwts Proficiency in TDD / BDD- Test Automation Skills (Cucumber).
Experience in Version: Java 17; Python 3.9+; Spring Boot 3.0 + Location This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard’s India office. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
