- About Staffbase
- We inspire people to achieve great things together. Our mission is to help organizations unlock the power of inspirational communication with the first AI-native Employee Experience Platform . Our industry-leading and award-winning agentic AI communications channels - intranet, employee app and email solutions - create engaging experiences that connect and empower employees.
- Headquartered in Chemnitz, Germany and New York City, with offices in Berlin, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Prague
- Minneapolis–St. Paul, our diverse team of 750+ employees supports 2,000+ customers—reaching over 16.4 million employees—in transforming their employee experience.
- We are proud to be a Unicorn company—privately valued at over $1 billion—demonstrating strong growth, innovation, and lasting impact in our industry. Together, we’re shaping the future of workplace communication.
- The 2-person Product Insights team at Staffbase covers product analytics and product research for a 150-person Product organisation. You do not need a hypothesis test to understand that we need an analytics operating model that punches well above its headcount. You would join a team at an early stage of building something genuinely new: an AI-native analytics function where systems do the heavy lifting and analysts focus on the judgment calls.
- This role is not about maintaining a steady state. The person who thrives here does not wait for permission or a fully shaped brief. They spot what needs doing, move on it
- bring others along. If you are energised by building from the ground up - shaping how an AI-native analytics function works at a market-leading tech company - this is the right role.
- What you’ll be doing
- Product analytics and stakeholder delivery Own regular analytical delivery across product adoption, feature discovery and user behaviour analysis: the models, dashboards
- reports that product management relies on, as well as exploratory deep dives in Hex where the question has not been fully shaped yet. Translate findings into clear output for product leadership, in a form they can act on.
- AI-native analytics Shape and build an AI-native analytics function. Use LLMs and agents to accelerate analysis, maintain the context and data models that make self-serve reliable
- help compress work that used to require a full sprint into a day or two. What you build becomes repeatable practice across the wider data community at Staffbase.
- Self-serve tooling Support the conversational self-serve layer that gives product managers direct access to data without raising a ticket. Keep the underlying data models and context documentation in good shape so stakeholders get directionally accurate answers fast. We are also in the middle of sunsetting our current BI tool - an open opportunity to take real ownership of how the BI landscape gets rebuilt.
- Analytics Engineering partnership Work closely and continuously with Analytics Engineering on the semantic models and shared data foundation that everything runs on. Surface business logic requirements clearly, review model changes for downstream impact, flag issues early
- document what you build together.
- Product signals to Customer Success Leverage product insights to keep CS informed before issues show up in revenue. Adoption patterns, churn signals
- expansion opportunities should reach CS in time to act, not in time to explain.
- What you need to be successful
- 3+ years of hands-on data analysis experience in a SaaS or B2B tech company
- Strong SQL and data transformation skills - comfortable building and maintaining dbt models and working with large datasets in BigQuery
- Product analytics experience in a B2B SaaS context: you understand what engagement, retention, adoption, and churn signals mean and how to act on them
- Familiarity with LLM tooling and genuine excitement about how AI is changing the way analysts work
- Comfort with Hex or a similar notebook-based environment for exploratory analysis
- Clear written communication: you can turn complex findings into something a non-technical stakeholder can act on
- Builder drive: you are energised by building from the ground up, lead yourself without waiting for direction, and see the absence of established process as an advantage
- The essential human skills: a feel for which questions actually matter, the creative range to find approaches that were not in the brief
- genuine curiosity about the product, the customers
- the data - not just the task at hand
- What you'll get
- Competitive Compensation - we offer attractive salary packages including LTIP (unit-based Long Term Incentive Plan)
- Flexibility - we offer flexible working time models and the option of hybrid work, and support this with a yearly flex work allowance of €1560
- Recharge - with 31 vacation days annually (incl. one floating holiday), plus pro rata fully paid Fridays off during August
- Support - we’re offering a company pension scheme
- Volunteers Day - you’ll get one day off per year for supporting a social project
