Supplier Quality Lead (BDS VC25B) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Lead to join our dynamic team in San Antonio, TX. Leads a team of Supplier Quality professionals supporting the BDS VC25B Presidential program.
Accountable for supplier quality processes, metrics, system requirements, cost avoidance/savings analysis, training, and continuous process improvement. Advises leadership, leads cross‑functional teams, and presents solutions for complex enterprise quality issues.
Ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory, FAR/DFAR, AS9100 and engineering requirements. Works independently in a fast‑paced environment and collaborates across functions and levels. Position Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a Supplier Quality team supporting program needs and “one‑Boeing” solutions.
Investigate complex nonconformances, recommend dispositions and standard repairs, and implement corrective/preventive actions. Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and standards such as AS9100. Demonstrated skills in data analysis, metrics, root‑cause analysis and process improvement.
Excellent verbal and written communication and cross‑functional leadership abilities. Ability to work with minimal direction in a fast‑paced, regulated environment. May require interaction across multiple organizations, sites, customers and industry bodies.
Must ensure compliance with contractual, legal and regulatory requirements during all activities. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Experience with QMS (Quality Management System) 5+ years of collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data 5+ experience do you have working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management 5+ year of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Bachelor’s degree or higher Travel: Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
